  1. EAST WENATCHEE — It was a tale of two halves for the Eastmont Wildcats boys’ basketball team on Friday night against the Eisenhower Cadets. The Eastmont defense in the first half was outstanding.
  2. WENATCHEE — Wenatchee High School sophomore Jaxson Cosina scored 417.45 points to win the 11-dive meet held at WHS on Friday. The meet involved teams from Wenatchee, Eastmont, Moses Lake and Eisenhower. Senior Kameron Kissel of Eastmont was second with a score of 411.70. Panther junior Tristyn Geren was third with a score of 370.45. The minimum 4A state qualifying score is 365, so all three achieved a qualifying score. Eastmont Christian Ruiz was fourth with a score of 355.55. 
  3. LEAVENWORTH — Cascade Head Coach Jesus Sandoval has been a chasing a league title for the past couple seasons with his Cascade Kodiaks. This season, the Kodiaks may just have the stuff to get it done.
  4. WENATCHEE — The fans may love a shootout, but it appears the coaches are not too crazy about it. The Wenatchee Wild have played 43 games this season, never ending a shootout until Wednesday night at the Town Toyota Center.
  5. WENATCHEE — By virtue of their early season victory over defending conference champion Moses Lake, the Sunnyside Grizzlies established themselves as the team to beat in the Big 9 this season. They are 4-0 in the Big 9. Wenatchee is 1-2 with a tough stretch of matches coming up. Wenatchee hosted the Grizzlies Tuesday night.
