  1. WENATCHEE — The Mariner Moose mascot was the hit of the show at Mission View Elementary School as the Seattle Mariners bus tour spent the afternoon in Wenatchee Tuesday. After visiting the school, the bus headed to Pybus Public Market for an autograph-signing event. Besides the Moose, pitchers Shawn Armstrong and Marco Gonzales, a former Wenatchee AppleSox player, and broadcaster Dave Sims made a presentation to the students about being drug free, having respect, the importance of a good attitude, quality education and motivation.
  2. Both Wenatchee girls and boys lost their wrestling matches to Sunnyside Tuesday night in Wenatchee. The girls 18-24 on three forfeits and the boys 12-61.
  3. Wenatchee Valley College loses to Walla Walla Community College Wednesday night in Wenatchee 84-62 in their mens basketball game.
  4. Pigeons fly late Monday around the Riverwalk Crossing pedestrian bridge that connects downtown Wenatchee with the Apple Capital Recreation Loop Trail. 
  5. It looks like the Wenatchee Appleyard train depot is turning into an airplane runway Wednesday with 10 Boeing fuselages headed west for final assembly.
