Anita Heath was recognized by CENTURY 21 Exclusively at an annual spring luncheon with its quarterly Support Staff of the Quarter award, recognizing her for outstanding commitment to performance and professionalism.

Stemilt Growers has been selected as Produce for Better Health Foundation’s Fruits and Veggies — More Matters consumer campaign 2017 role model. Stemilt was first honored with the title in 2007 and was the first industry and non-retail company to be selected and has maintained the honor for a decade.

Math Teacher Jackie Andrewjeski was awarded the Wenatchee High School Panther P.R.I.D.E award for the third quarter. The award recognizes teachers and staff who create positive and safe learning environments inside and outside the school.

Peoples Bank:

Audrey Bessonette has been promoted to commercial banking team leader of the Chelan-Douglas Commercial Banking Group. A Cashmere native, Bessonette joined Peoples Bank in 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Central Washington University where she studied business administration.

Karma Vassar has been promoted to senior vice president, commercial banking officer of the Chelan-Douglas Commercial Banking Group. Vassar has 16 years experience of commercial banking and joined Peoples Bank in 2013. A Wenatchee native, she recieved a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington.

North Central Educational Service District:

NCESD superintendent Dr. Michelle Price was honored as the 2018 Washington Association of Education Office Professionals (WAEOP) Administrator of the Year, nominated by Melisa White. Price has been at the NCESD for almost a year and was previously superintendent of Moses Lake School District for 27 years.

Sariann Meredith, CEOE from NCESD, was installed as the 2018-19 WAEOP President.

Melisa White, CEOE from the Moses Lake School District was the recipient of the Paula Thomas Distinguished Service Award, nominated by Eldene Wall of the NCESD.

 

New jobs, new faces

Ruth Esparza, a litigation attorney with over 12 years experience practicing in the Wenatchee valley, will be opening her own practice focusing on general civil litigation including family law, landlord and tenant, wills and estates, contracts, personal injury and immigration.

Cosmetologist and American Board certified hair colorist Stacy Peery, of Stacy Jean Designs, LLC, recently joined Michael David Hair Design as an independent contractor.

Julia Tilton has joined the John L. Scott Leavenworth Real Estate team. Tilton received her Realtor’s licence in August of 2017 and will be working form the John L. Scott Mill Creek Real Estate office.

Wellness coach Lacy Bennett has joined Naturae Naturopathic Clinic and Dr. Allegra’s Apothecary as the patient care coordinator and sales manager. She has 10 years of experience working with Naturopathic Physicians. Bennett graduated from the Integrative Institute for Nutrition and also has a degree in complementary and alternative medicine from the American College of Healthcare Sciences.

Peoples bank welcomes Michael Machado as vice president and commercial loan officer at the Wenatchee Financial Center. Michael specializes in commercial real estate and agricultural loans. Machado brings 17 years of local commercial banking experience, most recently serving as relationship manager in the commercial division of US Bank in Wenatchee.

Melissa Knott has recently joined Beck Real Estate Co. as a Real Estate agent.

Shannon Grill is the new director of finance for the Town Toyota Center. Grill comes with over 25 years of experience in finance, accounting and senior level management positions and was most recently the chief financial officer for West Ridge Academy in Utah.

 

Staying on Top

Heidi Swoboda of Swoboda Photography attended the Professional Photographers of Washington Pacific Northwest Creative Summit on March 26-29 in Lynnwood where she was awarded the PPW distinguished service award and Professional Photographers of America National Award for meritorious contributions to professional photography.

Photographer Dalisa DeChiara, CPP, AFP attended the Professional Photographers of Washington’s Annual Educational Conference held March 23-27 in Lynnwood where she was elected the new vice president of the annual photography conference and image competition.

Sue Evans, Registered Client Associate with D.A. Davidson & Co., has completed coursework required to earn the Series 7 license administered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Evans has been with D.A Davidson since 1998.

Fitness instructor Leanne Wylet was recognized in April by the Medical Fitness Directory and the National Osteoperosis Foundation as their Featured Fitness Instructor of the week for the third consecutive year. Wylet also recently attended a seminar held by Aging and Adult Care of Central Washington on effective communication strategies for dementia.
