History teacher James Elwyn of Wenatchee High School was awarded the 2nd quarter WHS Panther P.R.I.D.E award, which recognizes teachers and staff that create a positive and safe learning environment for the school and the community.

Carmela Solorio and Teresa Godina will be presenting a workshop at the National Migrant Education Conference in Portland, Oregon, April 29 to May 2 titled “Passport to Success in the 21st Century”. The workshop focuses on helping parents understand the importance of participating in their children’s early education. Solorio and Godina are migrant staff in Wenatchee School District’s Special Programs.

Rob Fritz has been promoted to chief operating officer in the Salcido Connection. Fritz has been with the Salcido Connection and handles the daily operations of the company. He has 20 years experience in the electrical industry.

Michelle Hoffman has been promoted to chief financial officer with the Salcido Connection. Hoffman has been with the company for 10 years and oversees and manages all accounting and financial operations. She has degrees in accounting and computer applications and has training in employment law.

Jessica Clay has joined Numerica Credit Union as the business development officer for the Wenatchee Valley region. Clay brings over 20 years of experience in the radio broadcast industry and was recently a certified radio and digital marketing consultant and on-air talent at Alpha Media. She is also on the promotions committee for the Wenatchee Downtown Association.

Nicole Begin has joined John L. Scott Wenatchee Real Estate. Nicole received her Realtor’s license this January.

Ulta Beauty welcomes Meagan Garibay as the new store manager. Garibay previously owned Rockin’ Hair salon in Wenatchee.

Amy Moubray has recently joined Evergreen Home Loans as a mortgage loan originator. Moubray brings with her 7 years of experience and as a licensed originator can assist with all aspects of home loan needs.

Dave Larson has joined Advanced Home Health Northwest of Wenatchee as executive director after the acquisition of Healthy Options on Feb. 1. Larson has provided executive leadership to Home Health companies for over 29 years.

Zach Brown, DPT, CSCS, has joined Associates in Physical Therapy in East Wenatchee. Zach brings expertise in orthopedic manual therapy and foot/ankle specialty care.

Krista Jones, a produce industry marketing veteran has joined the team at Spiker Communications, a company based in Missoula, Montana, in a business development capacity. She will work with clients on brand strategy, product development and overall marketing activities. Jones will be working remotely from her home in Wenatchee due to the proximity to many West Coast growers and shippers.

Elio Latella is the new Head USPTA Certified Tennis Professional. Originally from Sydney, Australia, he is also a graduate from Western Florida State University, where he competed in tennis and continued as the assistant men’s tennis coach while completing a master’s degree in exercise science.

Kim Chambers and Toddi Barclay have joined the Massage Therapy team. Both are licensed massage therapists and reflexologists.

Fitness instructors Heidi Garcia and Sarah Clarke are now teaching additional classes as part of the extensive WRAC fitness class schedule. Garcia is teaching Pilates, and Clarke is leading cycling classes.

East Wenatchee cidermaker Pear Up represented Wenatchee at the fifth annual Cider Rite of Spring event on March 10 at the Left Bank Annex in Portland. The ciders served were Pearmosa, Watermelon Pear, Raspeary and Pineapple Pear.
